Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted February 13, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points.  Results from the poll conducted November 17, 2011 are in square brackets.

Inside the numbers:

Mack runs strongest of the four Senate candidates among male voters, while Nelson does best among female voters.

Among GOP voters, Mack earns 83% support to McCalister’s 77% and LeMieux’s 69%. Nelson leads all three Republicans by two-to-one or better among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties.

Conservative voters strongly prefer Mack to his two GOP rivals. Moderates and liberals give the edge to Nelson.

Nelson is viewed Very Favorably by 18% of Likely Florida Voters and Very Unfavorably by 16%. For Mack, Very Favorables are 17%, Very Unfavorables 13%. Nelson and Mack are the two best-known of the candidates. Just eight percent (8%) share a Very Favorable opinion of LeMieux, while 16% view him Very Unfavorably. Seven percent (7%) hold a Very Favorable opinion of McCalister favorably, but 11% regard him Very Unfavorably.

Forty-eight percent (48%) of Florida voters now approve of the job Obama is doing, while 49% disapprove. This includes 25% who Strongly Approve and 39% who Strongly Disapprove.
