Survey of 500 likely voters was conducted April 9, 2012. The margin of error is +/- 4.5 percentage points. Results from the poll conducted February 29, 2012 are in parentheses.
Inside the numbers:
As in much of the country, male voters favor Romney over Obama, while female voters prefer the president. Obama leads by better than two-to-one among voters under 40. Romney edges the president by much narrower margins among older voters.

Among voters not affiliated with either political party, the Republican is ahead 53% to 36%.
